Th💟ings didn't start quite to plan on the cold Monday morning in the UK as a thick fog had descended, meaning it was barely possible to see the track from the factory, even though it is a mere stone throw away.

Fortunately the fog did lift by the afternoon anꦍd Tiago Monteiro - only confirme🥂d at the team late last week - was able to take to the track and sample the Toyota power he will enjoy this season.

Installation laps and systems checks were the name of the game and the car v꧃entured out numerous times for short periods during the course of the afternoon.

"Today was really cool and from my pointℱ of view it went great," said Tiago at the end of the day. "We started late because🗹 of fog in the morning so we didn't achieve everything we wanted to.

"But we did 35 laps in the afternoon and had no major issues at all.꧃ We carried out some of the tests we wanted to d𝕴o and I feel comfortable in the car. So far so good. I'm really happy and looking forward to continuing the work this week."

Monteiro will be back in action on Tue♔sday at a Silverstone circuit which has started the day at least far more promising than Monday with even a hint of sun in the sky at 08.30 (local time).

Watching over preceedings on Monday was Jordan's news sporting director, Trevor Carlin. "It was a foggy start to the day here in Northamptonshire so we had tꦫo wait all morning before we could get started," he confirmed. "However once the weather cleared slightly, the afternoon went well and Tiago was able to complete almost 100km, making good progress with checking the various systems on the car. We're looking forward to getting our teeth into the 🐼full test programme in two days time."

After Tuesday's completion of systems checks, the car will test at Silverstone from Wednesday - Friday, with Narain Karܫthikeyan getting behind the wheel for the first time on Wednesday, before being joined by Monteiro the next day. The team plans to have two chassis in action for the final d📖ay of the test on Friday.
