McLaren driver ⛄David Coulthard was presented ♓with the Hawthorn Memorial trophy before todays British Grand Prix at Silverstone, the fifth time the Scot has won the coveted award.

The trophy was set up by the Hawthorn family in me𝓀mory of Mike Hawthorn, who died in 1959ꩵ just a year after winning the F1 World Title, and is awarded annually to the most successful British or Commonwealth driver in the FIA Formula One World Championship.

McLaren driver David Coulthard was presented with ꦛthe Hawthorn Memorial trophy before todays British Grand Prix at Silverstone, the fifth time the Scot has won the coveted award.

The trophy was set up by the Hawthorn family in memory of Mike Hawthorn, who died in 1959 just a year after winning the F1 World Title, and is awarded annually to theജ most successful British or Commonwealth driver in the FIA Formula One World Championship.

Only former World Champion Nigel Mansell has now won the trophy more than Coulthard, wh🔥o was presented with the award by Minister for Sports and Tourism Richard Caborn MP and Colin Hilton, chief exe🌸cutive of the Motor Sports Association.

H🧔ilton believes that Coulthard was a w𓄧orthy winner of the trophy.

"As ever, David is a thoroughly deserving recipient of this tr🙈ophꦓy," he said. "He has been one of the most consistent and successful F1 drivers in recent years, but he has also been a great ambassador for his sport and his country.

"His career is a shining example of how young✃ drivers can work their way through the sport to reach the very top."
