Ralf escapes with bruising, puncture blamed.

BMW WilliamsF1 driver Ral🙈f Schumacher appears to have escaped from his high-speed 🐭crash at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway today [Sunday] with 'just bruising', according to a statement released by his team.

Technical director, Sam Michael added that a puncture appears to have caused the crash, which occurred at the end of lap ten, when the German went off backwards into t🥃he wall at the banked final turn.

"Thankfully Ralf will be ok," commented SM.

"He had a puncture, which caused him to crash."

Ralf was initially taken to the Speedway's Medical Centre, before then be transferred to an Indianapolis Hospital to undergo further medical checks. He will be kept in tonight, 🍨under observation, as a precaution.

"Of course our race was o༒ver-shadowed by Ralf's accident," summed up BMW motorsport director, Mari🌄o Theissen.

"♈I visited him in the medical centre during the race, where he was u🧜ndergoing a first check.

"We all hope now that Ralf recovers quickly."
