Daniil Kvyat has bemoaned his m𓆉isfortune in Melbourne for the second year running after he suffered an electrical failure with his power unit on the formation lap for the Australian Grand Prix.

In an almဣost identical fashion to 12 months ago, Kvyat's Red Bull gave up on him before the lights went out for the season opener when he suffered a terminal transmission problems on his out-lap to the gri꧟d.

This year the Rus💙sian driver was able to make it to the grid but having completed the formation lap his car ground to a halt while lining up on the starter marks.

It was later diagnosed as an electronics failure with the CU-H unit on the TAG Heuer-sponsored engine, 𒅌meaning for a second straight year despite qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix Kvyat was unable to complete a single lap through n🔜o fault of his own.

"It lookꦦs like an electronic issue🗹 put us out of the race before it started," Kvyat said. "I think Australia doesn't seem to be the luckiest place for me so far. The car just shut itself off - I guess it didn't want to do the race today, but we'll be back in Bahrain and we'll start again from there."

After last year's failure Kvyat 🅷made a tentative start to the season - claiming a total of five points over the opening🌜 five races - and came under pressure from Red Bull bosses before fighting back in Monaco with an impressive fourth place.

Kvyat says he has learnt from that experience and is confident he can get 2016 off to a better start in Bahrain in two weekꦉs t🤡ime.

"Last year it was very hard to take, not starting the racܫe, but this year I'm a stronger pe🍰rson so I'll be OK, these things happen, that's life and that's racing."
