🔯Wolff’s comments suggest that he promise🅰d to Hamilton that he would not consider signing Verstappen while the Briton was at Mercedes.

The 40-year-old Briton had previously said he would “100 per cen🐼t” be open to being teammates with Verstappe🔥n but claimed the Red Bull driver wanted to avoid going head-to-head with him in equal machinery.

"I 100 per cent would be more than happy to 🌺race against him [Verstappen] in an equal car," Hamilton told Sky Sports back in 2023.

On Verstappen, he later added: "I don't think he wants me to be his team-m🎉ate.🌞”
