PCCGB Silverstone: Wrigley leads JTR 1-2-3 in reverse grid race
JTR's Tom Wrigley has clinched his third Porsche Carrera Cup GB victory of the 2018 season after winning the reverse grid race at 🙈Silverstone.
Wrigley started the reverse grid encounter from second position,𝄹 but muscled his ꦕway past pole-sitter George Gamble at Copse Corner during the start of the race.
With Gamble protecting second position for the majority of the race ahead ofꦿ Tio Ellinas, Wrigley was able to control the gap back to Gamble with a 1.0s advantage.

Wrigley started the reverse grid encounter from second position, bu♌t muscled his way past pole-sitter George Gamble at Copse Corner during the start of the race.
With Gamble protecting second position for the majority of the race ahea👍d of Tio Ellinas, Wꩵrigley was able to control the gap back to Gamble with a 1.0s advantage.
However, while Wrigley remained unchallenged at the head field, drama🦹 began to unfold behind the leading JTR runner with title contender Ellinas being handed a five-second time penalty for abusing track limits.
At the time of receiving the penalty, Ellinas sat third behind Gamble. But keen to establish a five-second gap between himself and championship leader Dino Zamparelli in sixth, Ellinas forced his way pꦓast Gamble at Brooklands on lap 21 into second position on the road.
It was a move that paid dividends as a last lap technical gremlin for Zamparelli meant the champioಞnship leader was forced to slow to such a degree that Ellinas was able to claw the time ba꧂ck and finish ahead of his title rival, classified fourth.
Ahead of the two title protagonists, Dan Harper got the better of Gamble ඣfor the second step on the rostrum, with Lewis Plato following behind in third.
Amigos Team Parker's Seb Perez took the Pro-Am category win with sixth overall, while Will Bratt, Dan Vaughn, D𝓡an Welch and Tom Jackson completed the r♊emainder of the top-ten order.
Peter Mangion ended th🌠e second race asꦆ the Am category victor after Peter Kyle-Henney fell from the class lead early in the race.
