BMW Pirtek Racing's Andrew Jordan has moved to within striking distance of team mate Colin Turkington's British Touring Car Championship lead following a pivotal✃ Knockhill weekend.

The 2013 BTCC champion head🐓ed to Scotland a full 30🔯-points back from defending three-time champion Turkington in the drivers' standings.

However, the title race was blown wide open when a non-score from Turkington in race tw⛎o, coupled with a sixth win of the year for Jordan, saw the points margin close to within 4-points.

With Jordan starting nine pl𓃲aces ahead of Turkington in race three, the BMW Pirtek Racing driver looked set to heap more pressure on his rival but an untimely opening lap spin from Senna Proctor left the 30-year old with nowhere to go but head straight into the gravel and out of the race.

As a res🎐ult, the gap now stands at 10-points, with Jordan firmly in the hunt for a s🌌econd title in the series.

"We’ve won our sixth race of the year so we can’t💎 complain at that. It was an unfortunate way to end the day but we’re 10 points off now,"🍌 Jordan told ltxcn.top.

"I’m very happy with the day and we’ve won more races th🍷an anyone 🌳so I can’t complain.

"We had the 🌸pace to win both races in one and two so the car’s been really. It’s rolled out very well. I’m happy.

"I’m very positive heading to Silverstone. We’ve put some pressure on Colin [Turkington] a𝓀nd taken 20 points out of him. It’s a proper fight."
