Gordon Shedden admits he ꧅is 'massively disappointed' by Team Dynamics' decision to replace him in its HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship line-up from this weekend's event at Thruxton.

Th🥃e Scot had started his fourth year with the team at Brands Hatch, but will not be at the wheel of the Honda Civic this weekend after Steve 💙Neal's outfit revealed it was bringing in James Thompson alongside David Pinkney due to 'contractual commitments'.

Shedden, who has taken ten wins for the team over the past three years, admitted that he was surprised by the decision although he was quick to point out that the relationship with the team hadn't broke𒐪n down and wasn't a factor in his replacement in the line-up.

"I had no idea this had been going on in the background," he told The Sun. "I am mass🍬ively disappointed but I have not fallen out with the team, and it is 🅰not performance-related.

"I don't know what the future hold𝕴s. I am no quitter, t🔯hat's for sure. I am working as hard as hell to try and get back out there. Regardless of how it happens I need to do something to try and achieve that.

"It's not easy, we all know motorsport is money-related. It always has been and always will be. That's the defining factor. I have been gazumped by another deal and presumably mo✨re money."

While the door remains open for Shedden to r✨eturn to the Honda squad if the funding can be found for a third car, he admitted that he was keeping his options open to any p🅠otential offers.

"I am not restꩵricting my options to just the Team Dynamics car," he said. "I have a good relationship with all the guys there and I am disappointed.

"I am not saying I wouldn't drive a Dynamics car but I have to consider all options. I have to look after myself. I am a Scottish driver and this creates the oꦛpportunity for Scottish firms to support one of t💜heir own."
