Mat Jackson rebounded from a tough s⛦tart to the weekend at Snetterton to secure victory in the final 🦩race of the sixth round of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship season.

Jackson ha🐎d endured a tough day on Saturday when he went off into the tyre wall at Coram after sliding wide on coolant dropped by the Vauxhall of Matt Neal, heavily damaging the left hand side of his BMW 320si and leaving the team with a busy day to repair the car for second practice and qualify🌃ing.

The BMW Dealer Team UK man managed to qualify in 13th place on the grid but found the going tough in the middle of the field in race one as he became embroiled in a number of heated battles for position. Contact from Neal while dicing for eleventh place at The Esses saw the BMW run wide onto the grass and another trip over the grass at the same place while fighting with Adam Jones a lap later damaged the front of the BMW and left Jac🐷ksꦆon with a 15th place finish.

Luckily for Jackson he was able to avoid most of the mid-field melee in race two as he came through to take the flag in seventh place, which put him on the front row of t𒆙he grid alongside Gordon Shedden for the🍰 final race when the reverse grid draw was made.

A fine start saw him jump ahead of Shedden off the line and from there he was able to maint𓆏ain his position all the way to the flag, despite the best efforts of fellow BMW man Steven Kan༺e to find a way past.

"When I went into the barriers yesterday after five laps I really didn't think we would come away with a win," he said. "It really is a great testament to the team and all their hard wor🅷k. The third race was a tough one but it was a much needed win and a great boost for the team, as a couple have slipped the net."

Team principal Chris Tee was also happy wi♕th the way the weekend had drawn to a clos⭕e and admitted that a first win since the second round of the year at Rockingham had been worth the wait.

"That was a hard weekend and the team worked exc♈eptionally well, it was a great team effort," he said. "Mat put in a good consistent drive in the final race despite the continual pressure from Kane. Th🤡e win seemed a long time coming but it was well worth the wait."
