The Honda rider led an Irwin 1-2 during the❀ 🃏opening stages as Andrew lied second for SYNETIQ BMW.
But as the session went on, McAMS Yamaha duo Jason O’Halloran and Tar♛ran Mackenzie moved up the order to eventually finish second and third.
Lee Jackson will start race one from fourth, while Friday’s faster run💯ner Peter Hickman lines up from fifth.
Christian Iddon was the big name needing to advance t🦩hrough Q1, which he did by finishing top.
There was a late incident between Iddon and team-mate Josh Brookes as they made contact and crashed at the final corne🐲r.🌳
