Taylor Mackenzie returns to British Superstock championship with Bathams Racing

Bathams Racing have announced the return of 2019 Pirelli National British Superstock runner-up Taylor Mackenzie for the 2021 season.

Taylor Mackenzie will make his return to the Pirelli British Superstock championship with Bathams Racing in 2021, after competꦜing in the British Superbike series last year. 

Mackenzie will spearhead the BMW team's en♚try alongside two-time Superstock champion Richard Cooper who continues to recover from injuries suffered last season. 

In 2020 Mackenzie stepped-up to the British Superbike championship with Tyco BMW alongside Bradley Ray. Returning to Bathams with BMW will surely bring back positive memories for Mackenzie who en🍬dured a diffic📖ult campaign in BSB. 

Speaking after the move, Mackenzie said: "After last season, I wasn’t sure if I’d get a ride for this year, so to be back at Bathams Racing whe🙈re I know I will be able to fight for victories is fantastic.

"I got my leg injury ൩sorted during the winter, and I know that with the help of Dan Linfoot, the guys at Bathams 𒈔Racing got the BMW S 1000 RR flying by the end of last season.

"I know it sounds obvious, but I really can’t wait to get bacꦉk on the bike and start enj🌺oying my racing again, it can’t come quick enough!."

Bathams began t🍸heir association with Motorcycle racing in 2009 with Isle of Man TT and road racing legend Michael Rutter who is ꦑthe current team's principle. 

Mackenzie wඣon four races with the team in 2019 a💖nd scored a further nine podiums on his way to second in the championship. 

Rutter expressed his joy at seeing Mackenzie return by adding: "Having Taylor back in🧜 the team is a real scoop for us, and Richard’s commitment to helping the team succeed has blown me away.

"However, I’m sure like everyone else I’m looking forward 🍌to seeing him ღback on one of our bikes on track.

"As for me, I’ll be supporting Taylor by entering selected races to lead thꦉe development of the𝕴 new BMW M 1000 RR, and the plan is to race at Macau at the end of the year."

With Cooper still recoverಌing from his injuries, and Mackenzie's success with the team previously, the Brit goes into the season as a🅘 firm title contender.
