Josh Elliott has given a ‘massive thank you’ to the OMG Racing team for repairing his BSB Suzuki GSX-R1000R after splitting it in two in a 🃏spectacular accident at Donington Park.

The Englishman, who꧒ scored his first BSB during the Silverstone season opener in April, slid off the machine at the Craner Curves during FP2, with the bike digging into the ground before spiralling into a destructive series of barrel-rolls.

Coming to rest in two 🤪pieces having scattered parts across the grass as it disintegrated, while Elliott – who detached from the low-side early in the accident – was unhurt, it forced OMG Racing into a complete rebuild.

Remarkably, the team followed through and had Elliott back on track in FP3 and Qualifying. Though Elliott went on to have a toꦡugh three races outside of the points, he was amazed to be out on track at all after Friday’s incident.

“Really tough weekend, I probably had the biggest crash of my career ꧟in FP2 down Craner Curves and completely destroyed the bike which gave the team a lot of work to do. A massive thank you to the whole team, they’ve done a🌠n amazing job to basically build a brand-new bike for Saturday.
