Byrne set for vertebrae surgery after Snetterton crash
Shane Byrne’s Be Wiser Ducati squad has confirmed the six-time Bennetts British Su♏perbike champion will undergo surgery after his fall during the Snetterton test and is expected to make a full recovery.
The defending BSB champion crashed on his third lap of the opening session at the Snetterton test at Turn 3 which saw the session red✤ flagged. Byrne was treated at the track medical centre before being transported by ambulance to 🐻hospital.

The 41-year-old currently sits third in the BSB riders’ championship with one win and two further rostrums from the opening three rounds of the 2018 camp🐬aign.
