Jerez Moto3: Vinales victorious in crash filled race

Team Calvo rider Maverick Vinales won the Moto3 Spanish Grand Prix, after a red-flag caused by 🌳an accidꦰent for CIP rider Alan Techer.
Vinales now leads the world championship standings by fou♌r points from Luis Salom after leading lap 15, where the race was counted back to as the last complete lap.
It is Vinales' best result at Jerez after failing to finish in 2011 and finishing sixth in 2012 after running wide on the secon💜d lap.
Salom had to settle for a frustrating second as he was sat behind his fellow Spaniard waiting for the right moment to make his move aboard h🎃is Red Bull KTM Ajo, when the race was cut short.
Jonas Folger was third for Mapfre Aspar with his first podium of the season he is also the💟 first non-Spanish rider to make the ro🅘strum this year.
KTM once again dominate wiඣth all three of the top riders aboard a KTM or Kalex KTM.
Initial reports said Techer was 'conscious' and currently undergoing treatment𝓰 in the medical centre.
Alex Rins lost out in the championship race as he had been in the leading group with Vinales, Salom and Folger until he lost the front of his Estrella Galicia KTM with thirteen ꦆlaps to go, al𝐆lowing the two remaining Spaniards to open a gap on Folger.
Brad Bind✃er benefited from a huge gap after both Mahindra's Miguel Oliveira and Caretta rider Jack Miller crashed behind him, lea𝓀ving him clear for fourth and the top finishing Honda.
The battle for fifth was won by Redox RW Racinℱgs Jakub Kornfeil despite a lack of track time as he only joined the paddock on Saturday after sitting exams in the Czech Republic.
Sixth was awarded to Avant Tecno's Niklas Ajo while Red Bull's Zulfahmi Khairuddin had moved into seventh at t🦂he race end.
ಌCompleting the top ten were Mahindra's Efren Vazquez, San Carlo Team Italia rider Romano Fenati and Ongetta Rivacold's Alexis Masbou.
British rider John McPhee narrowly missed out on a first top ten placing but still recorded a best finish of 11th for the Caretta Technology- R🐈TG team.
The Scot had passed Masbou, who he crashed with in Qatar, but lost ou♐t when the race was taken back to the last completed lap.
The third of the Red Bull machines, piloted by Arthur Sissis was 12th, with Briton Danny Webbꦓ next on the timesheets for Ambrogio Racing i🅷n 13th.
Jasper Iwema, whose crash red-flagged the Austin Grand Prix, returned 🍷to finish 14th for the RW ♏Racing GP team.
Livio Loi finished his fi♊rst race in the championship in the points taking 15th for Marc VDS.
He is the first Belgian to race in the lightweight class since Lucio Pietroniro in 1989. He exceeded the expectations of the team who expected t𝐆he sixteen year old to place around 20th on his debut.
In a crash filled r⛎ace Alex Marquez, who was the first to fall returned to finish 23rd while Portuguese rider Oliveira also returned to track for 16th.
