Matteo Nannini becomes Jenzer’s second signing for 2020 F3 season
Matteo Nannini, the nephew of💖 1989 Japanese Grand Prix Formula 1 race winner Alessandro, has become Jenzer Motorsport’s second signing for the upcoming 2020 FIA Formula 3 season.
The 16-year-old Italian graduates to FIA F3 after winning the Formula 4 UAE title with seven victories, 16 p🎀odiums and six pole positions during his maiden season in single-seaters that also saw him compete in the Formula Regional European Championship. Nannini also entered a single round of the 2019 Formula Renault Eurocup season and finished fifth on his debut.

Nannini has tested for Jenzer in both Formula Region🦄al and F4 and his impressive performances across 2019 have persuaded the Swiss squad to sign him to its FIA F3 line-up, which currently consists of Australian driver Calan Williams, a fellow rookie in the cham🍷pionship.

"I have done a pre-season testing with Jenzer Motorsport 🌠and I am happy to continue my racing career with this great team.
“I know the level of the series is highly-competitive. Most 🍸of the circuits are new for me. Buꦡt I feel pretty confident to do well.”
Jenzer claimed seventh place in last year’s FIA F3 standings and took a single victory thanks to Red Bull-Honda F1 protege Yuki Tsunoda’s triumph at Monza. Tsunoda, who recorded a further two podium appearances for the team, has subsequently stepped up to race in FIA Formula 2 in 2020 wi𝕴th Carlin.
